Heads of Government to Meet Ahead of Annual Retreat
Malaysia’s Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan is set to hold a bilateral meeting with Singaporean Minister Vivian Balakrishnan ahead of the 12th Malaysia‑Singapore Leaders’ Retreat scheduled in December 2025.
The discussions are expected to cover a wide range of bilateral issues, including trade, investment, labour mobility, and regional cooperation initiatives.
Strong Trade Ties Between Malaysia and Singapore
Malaysia and Singapore share a long-standing economic partnership, with bilateral trade reaching US$61.40 billion (RM 266.5 billion) from January to August 2025, accounting for 8.5% of Malaysia’s total trade.

- Goods and services exchange between the two countries
- Investment opportunities for Malaysian and Singaporean businesses
